T’Fnina du Domaine Al Farid

T’Fnina was born on July 17, 2021, in Casablanca, Morocco, at the Domaine Al Farid kennel, owned by Hamid Faridi – a farmer and breeder of Arabian horses. She is the daughter of Sultan and Anaya and comes from a country that is considered one of the cradles of the Sloughi breed. Her heritage is more than just a collection of names in a pedigree; it represents a direct connection to the environment in which this ancient breed was shaped over countless generations.

Hamid Faridi has dedicated his life to working with animals and preserving traditional Moroccan breeding practices. Alongside his Arabian horse breeding program, he is devoted to the Sloughi, a breed that forms an inseparable part of North Africa’s cultural heritage. It was in this environment, surrounded by horses, farmland, and a deep respect for tradition, that T’Fnina was raised.

Morocco is a country where the Sloughi was never developed for the show ring. For thousands of years, it has been the companion of people living in the demanding conditions of the Maghreb. Elegant, resilient, and loyal, the Sloughi was valued for its abilities, character, and close bond with its family.

Her journey from Casablanca to Europe was not an easy one. T’Fnina arrived during the COVID-19 pandemic, when international travel was complicated and uncertain. Like Nana before her, she had to overcome numerous administrative and logistical obstacles that accompanied international transport during that period.

Special thanks are due to our Polish friends, Agnieszka and Tomek Pawlisz. T’Fnina arrived in Europe on March 1, 2022. At the same time, they imported her brother, Tyalou du Domaine Al Farid, as a companion for their older Sloughi female. Thanks to their kindness, support, and friendship, it was possible to bring not only Tyalou but also T’Fnina to Europe, where she later became part of ORIGEN CHARM.

At ORIGEN CHARM, T’Fnina became not only a beloved member of the family but also an important part of a breeding program founded on respect for the breed’s origins and heritage.

The true significance of a dog often becomes apparent in the next generation. T’Fnina became the mother of Al’Faar ORIGEN CHARM, passing on not only her genes but also the continuation of a lineage that leads back to the land of her birth. Through her descendants, she remains a living connection between Morocco and Europe, between the past and the future of the breed.

T’Fnina du Domaine Al Farid is a reminder of where the Sloughi comes from and proof that preserving original bloodlines still has value in the modern world.

On 1 May 2024, T’Fnina became the proud mother of our A litter, welcoming 11 sweet sloughi puppies in beautiful shades of sand with black masks, including 6 puppies with the rare and highly valued black mantle. The litter consisted of 7 males and 4 females. The sire of the litter was Charon won Habule, the foundation sire of ORIGEN CHARM SLOUGHIS, whose influence continues to shape our breeding programme.
